The Blue Ridge School community marked the end of the 2021-22 school year by recognizing outstanding character among students and faculty and by looking forward to the coming year with the announcement of future student leaders. The annual Honors Service was held on Sunday, May 22, in Gibson Memorial Chapel with the Class of 2022 entering by formal procession.
The Faculty Award, which is given annually by the students to the faculty member “who exemplifies the BRS mission of helping boys reach their potential, who has made a significant difference in the lives of BRS students, and who will be respectfully and fondly remembered in years to come”, was presented to English teacher Dr. Chrisantha Hermanson.
Student leaders play an important role in the life of Blue Ridge School. They bear considerable responsibility in the residence halls and with student activities, as well as being the foundation for the school’s judicial system.
