Dramatic Arts

Making Your Grand Entrance

Each year, Blue Ridge boys stage a major musical or dramatic stage performance, doing everything from acting to set building, lighting, props, and stage management. The shows not only highlight their unique talents, but also give them the opportunity to work together creatively as a group. While we usually stage established plays and musicals, in 2018 one of our students, Franck Germain, wrote and directed a highly acclaimed, original musical entitled “Decatur 404”. One of the unique things about Blue Ridge School is that we have the flexibility and openness to embrace extraordinary talent when it presents itself, whether it’s performing a student-written one-act play or putting on a major production. We don’t let talented voices go unheard.
