The Honor Code Assembly, which is the first official event of the 2016-2017 School year, took place on Thursday evening, September 8. Mr. Jim Niederberger introduced the student members of the Honor Council and addressed the students and faculty about the role and responsibilities of the Council. He also spoke on the importance of integrity. He explained that one’s honor is a precious quality that once lost is hard to earn back.

During the assembly each student signed a certificate pledging that he will uphold the Code of Conduct. Mr. Niederberger encouraged each student to post the certificate in his room in a prominent place as a daily reminder of his pledge.

The 2016-2017 Honor Council members are seniors Aaron Aldridge, Matthew Chan, Dennis Dai, Joseph Kim, Oscar Palin, Brian Walker and Harry Wang.
