Supporting Boys with Superior Resources
From traditional library research to high-tech tools and programs, Blue Ridge School offers boys the latest in learning tools and techniques.
Developing a Love for Learning at our Library
The Blue Ridge School’s library is a revered space that promotes academic study, provides informational resources, and encourages reading for pleasure. As part of our college prep curriculum, we teach the boys how to be proficient in and comfortable with the use of databases. Under the direction of our librarian, our students learn to use the online database of reliable resources that cover sciences, humanities, and much more,
Innovating New Ideas Through Technology
Boys love to create, and technology is a natural tool to help them express concepts, develop ideas, and explore the world around them. From smart boards in classrooms to our dedicated Maker Space, teachers incorporate the latest technology into their curriculum. Students use professional audio and video equipment and software, as well as 3-D printers, a laser cutter, and robotic components for innovative projects and exciting competitions. They learn valuable, marketable skills in classes taught by experienced instructors, including:
- Introduction to Building Digital Hardware, Programming and Coding
