Arts Overview

Boys need the opportunity to express themselves in meaningful ways. So Blue Ridge School helps boys reach beyond their comfort zones and express themselves creatively. Within our all-boys, all-boarding environment, students have the safe, supportive environment they need to explore the musical, visual, dramatic arts, whether they are a novice or a seasoned artist. While some arts focus on individual talents, others require group participation, giving boys a sense of how they, as an individual, play a key role in the result.

We want boys to graduate from Blue Ridge School with confidence in their own talents, as well as an appreciation of the cultural arts as a whole. So before they graduate, every boy will have completed at least one arts experience during his time here.
