The Social Studies curriculum has three goals. First, we help our students develop an understanding of the organization and institutions of society during the major historical periods, and, by relating the past to the present, give them a perspective through which to review the present and the future. Second, we encourage an appreciation of the development of Western thought and its effects on the evolution of American Democracy. Third, and perhaps most importantly, we play a major role in helping students develop their study, communication, and research skills in courses including:
Ancient History
Modern European History
United States History and Government
Government and Contemporary Studies
Religious Studies
AP Civics and Government
