Kat loves adventures, living in beautiful places with mountains & supporting young people both in and out of the classroom. Kat attended Florida State University and brings with her a wealth of experience as a special education teacher with over 30 years of experience. She has served students in PreK – 12 across a variety of settings in public, independent, and private schools as well as owned her own business offering support with social cognition challenges individually or in small group settings. For the last couple of years, Kat has served as an independent contractor in a public school district serving students with social cognition challenges, ADHD, ADD, Anxiety, and emotional disabilities.
Kat and her family have lived all over the US, in places like NC, OH, MD, VA & all the way up in Alaska. Kat loves Nordic skiing and skate skiing. She has a love for the big mountains out west. Enjoys mountain biking, backpacking & hiking. Being outside in nature is her preference. Kat lives on campus with her husband Craig of 30 years and her two boys Erik, who is a rising senior, and Mark, who is a rising sophomore.
