Graduation
Celebrating Our Barons
Graduation is the culmination of many years of hard work and commitment, by our students and their families. As such, it is the highlight of the year for our community. Little compares with the pride we feel for our seniors on this special day. Below you will find information about graduaiton weekend. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact your son’s advisor or Terry Benshoff (tbenshoff@blueridgeschool.com). We can’t wait to see you at graduation!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What do the boys wear for graduation?
Seniors wear their blue blazer (with Blue Ridge School patch), khaki pants, and their blue-and-white striped Blue Ridge School necktie.
Where do the boys get the Blue Ridge School patch?
Seniors should leave their blazers with Mrs. Catherine Dickerson, Residence Life Assistant, preferably before May 1st. Mrs. Dickerson will sew the patch on the blazers and return them to the boys.
Can we take our graduating senior off campus after Friday night’s Senior Dinner?
No. The School plans fun activities for the boys during their last night together. This also ensures that all of the graduates will be on time for graduation in the morning.
When do seniors move out of the dorm?
Families may begin moving their senior out of the dorm prior to graduation, but all boys must be fully moved out by Saturday evening.
Do we need to get advance tickets for graduation?
Advance tickets are not required for Saturday morning’s graduation ceremony and lunch, nor are there limits on how many family and friends you may bring. However, seating is limited for Friday night’s Senior Dinner. Each student is given tickets for himself and two parents. Additional dinner tickets must be purchased in advance.
Where do we park?
Parking is available at the Baron Athletic Complex and shuttle buses are available to the ceremony location on main campus.
